2012 Summer Student Application
The Government of Saskatchewan is one of the largest student employers providing over 700 work opportunities for students in this last year alone. Our student employment programs include the Summer Student Program, student term employment (less than full time) and internships.
Opportunities are offered throughout the province, helping to build Saskatchewan highways, to maintain one of the provincial parks, or deliver programs and services for a government office. You may also find a job in your field of study that will give you career related experience. Students are encouraged to identify their interests and goals within the cover letter and resume. The majority of students are placed from May 1 to August 31 each year, with the bulk of jobs in major cities around the province.
Students who are attending post-secondary studies full-time may be hired less than full-time in a range of different roles. These opportunities provide student with experience in the public service and help offset some of the financial burden students have. By submitting your application and attaching your cover letter and resume you will be considered for positions in our Summer Student Program OR Student - Less Than Full-time.
Please note: To be eligible for student employment programs, you must be attending school on a full-time basis, legally entitled to work in Canada, and normally a resident of Saskatchewan. Proof of status may be requested.
